w216 whinning noise and window inoperative

Hi guys, I've got a w216 CL500. It's got a loud whining noise from the font of the engine, the pitch changes with engine revs. Using a stethoscope it seems loudest on the PAS pump casing. Are PAS pumps common on these?

Also the drivers side rear window is inoperative on both window switches and doesn't drop when the door is opened. I've fitted a motor but it is still the same. Is it possibly the rear window module? The fault code was something like "problem writing to EEPROM" or something along those lines.

I'd say the door module wants a software update. Humming noise sounds like the pulsation damper bolted to the top of the abc pump
