Hello all you experts. The Gremlin happened twice in the last two days and I hope for some pointers.
On both occasions I was approaching a junction at under 10mph with brakes lightly applied for the stop.
Warning alarm goes off, lose all power assistance to brakes and steering. Dash indicates ABS failure.
Still driveable with care so pull into safe place.
Restart the engine and everything is good again.
Check brake fluid level and all OK. Pulleys and belts OK.
What stumps me is losing power assistance to both brakes and steering at the same moment. Also the ability to restart and carry on as if nothing had happened.
