Hi folks

image-64780075.jpg

I have this in the armrest compartment of my CLS. I always assumed it was the phone prewire socket that I could connect an adapter from Mercedes or Viseeo to use the phone feature on the comand.

Dealer didn't have a clue when I bought the car.

So I've just bought a Viseeo mb4 adapter and the connection on it is totally different. What additional bits do I need to connect in the viseeo?

I am probably missing something really obvious here. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Should add- there were some entries in the phonebook on COMAND so it seems the previous owner had phone functionality somehow but has possibly nabbed some of the equipment that they shouldn't have out of the car when they sold it?

Are you sure you bought an MB-4 as per this page:

The picture you provided is of a UHI connector, which is what the MB-4 uses. [MB-4 manual]

Full marks to Troon, thanks. All working now. :bannana:

I clearly needed to RTFM.

The Viseeo took a bit of persuading into the slot, and when I was initially sat out there in sub-zero temperatures I gave up too easily the first time.
