I have noticed that my car won’t rise after pressing the rise button.

it drives at a normal height, it does not sink.

the compressor will run for a couple of minutes at the start then switches off.
If I press the rise button; “vehicle rising” message will appear and stays till I press the button again. The car will not rise.

I checked for leaking front struts: no leak
I checked for a leak around the pump and the valve block, no leak.

Replaced the pump’s piston ring but still the same issue.

Took it to my local mechanic who ran some diagnostics, and got plenty of errors coming form all struts and level sensors, he also found a leak from the compressor between the air dryer and the cylinder.
he thought the problem would be most likely related to the leak from the pump.

I took the air dryer off, replaced the red O ring and cleaned it.
No more leak from the air pump, but still the same problem.

I have not checked the rear struts for leak but does this look like a leak problem?

I left the car on the driveway for 4 days and it did not get low.

I am not sure what to do now! The car drives fine and I don’t really use the vehicle rise function, but I am worried if I keep driving like this I may get a bigger problem which would be more expensive to fix.

Stress test the pump with star diagnosis. Also be ready to eventually refurbish the entire system. If you are not that precious about airmatic, you can go coil spring conversion
