W220,2006 Sat Nav Frozen

Hi every one,
My S320 cdi sat nav is saying I am on the M5 near Bristol which is over 200 miles from were I am, it does not matter where I go its always says I am in that area, any ideas what is wrong ?

Does the position move at all? Are you receiving any satellites?

Yes the position does move as if I was off road in that area

I don't know if I am receiving a satalite signal, how do I check ?

I don't think I am receiving a satellite signal as I turned on the gps it showed a picture of a satellite with a 0 next to it

That's your issue then. New aerial needed.

OEM one is expensive and time consuming to fit.

Aftermarket one can be fitted in 10 minutes and bought for around £5 from eBay.

Check the boot for a loose connection and the external aerial , worked for me.

This is the one I fitted to my car. Get's a good signal just tucked up under the parcel shelf so is completely unseen.
