W220 Comand system screen damage

Hi guys

Any advice on how to replace the screen or system without spending more than the value of the car to make it work?

We have a pushed in, right lower corner of the screen making pretty much half of it unreadable.

Any ideas please?

Has it actually broken the lcd? display, or is it just squashed, therefore squeezing the display?
If the latter, it may be possible to remove the front bezel, and pop it back into place?

Hi Neil

Seems the LCD is still ok but we have a ping pong ball size white spot to contend with...

Professional task removing the fascia etc?

There were 3 systems in the W220 over time - which do you have

a) Original with small screen and nav CD below the screen
b) MY2003 with widescreen but nav CD in slot of head unit
c) MY2004 onward with navigation drive in the boot
