2003 W220 5.0L
Hi all,
I am new to this forum and hoped you could assist.
I have a 2003 Merc W220 5.0L and occassionally when warm the car would crank a little longer before starting. It was an occassional fault and only when engine was above 80 degrees, and crank would be around 3 secs longer than usual, but always started.

Was advised to replace the CPS so asked for this to be done at service today. Picked car up, started ok and drove it for 20mins, around 5miles. Parked for 45mins, came back and car refused to start when cranked fully twice, finally starting the third time.

Anyone any ideas why this could be the case? Car is considerably worse than it was before I had the CPS replaced.

Does it turn over?

Was it a genuine cps?
