Good day, I need to replace my door latch. The procedure to remove involves releasing the outer handle carrier from inside the door. Refitting the catch is not possible with the carrier in place, and if you leave it loose then you can't get to it to fit after you've fitted the catch. Has anyone fitted this successfully? What was the procedure? Is there an exploded view of the two units available anyplace? The working quarters are very compact to say the least, and of course many sharp edges ready to bite you. I never enjoy working on this car at all.
