Hi All :)
Have just got my new w220 (320) from my old man and have just tried using the phone. I unlocked the old noikia phone as i live in guernsey and it was on orange, popped in a local pay as you go sim and used call forwarding from my iphone, why spend £130 on a viseoo? All that worked till i replaced the phone back in the cradle and noticed that on the command unit it said phone not connected and requestting pin number , was unable to see this message before as hadnt pressed the comand phone button.
Any ideas as to what could be the issue before i take it to the dealership, unfortunately no independent on the island.

Do you mean the car asks for a PIN even if the phone was fully operational (PIN entered) before you put it to the cradle? Are you sure the phone has not powered down and up meanwhile? What happens if you enter your PIN anyway?

I cannot see how it could ask for a PIN at the same time as it says phone not connected, unless it actually means "the phone is not connected to the network".

hi deisel
have placed phone in the cradle entered the phone pin, phone unlocks, have network on the phone and the comand unit still asks me for a pin. Have just picked up a boot liner so whilst i was there asked the sales rep as he was only one around and he sugests popping it in for the tech guys to have a look at. Really dont fancy doing that as is going to cost ££££ for something really not that bothered about.
