so well.
i have a "Brake pad visit workshop" comunicate on my dash.
bought the pads for the front and back.
as i checked the back ones are gone. so i change them.
but the malfunction didnt disapear.
a have a cable to connect it to my pc. and some programs to check the faults.
but it doesnt show any problems on laptop.

after changing pads should this malfunction disapear on its own??

The fault should go as soon as the new pad sensors and pads are fitted. Did you fit new sensors?

As far as I am aware, the sensor wears down and this triggers the response.

What fails to amuse me is that there is not a sensor for each pad. Some may consider it a trite comment but given that my car can tell me when a single bulb in an array (mirror indicator) has failed then it is not too much to ask that the major components in the braking system are not individually monitored.

Pads are supposed to wear down evenly in pairs so extra sensor superfluous. Unlike a bulb the sensor is an add-on extra to the pad thereof expensive to make.
