W220 Seat belt not retracting

Guys,

Another day ...another prob it seems with one of the Benz's....

The front passenger seatbelt has decided it does not want to retract anymore ??

The car isn't even 5 years old yet ???

no one has been messing with it - no accident to fire the pre tensioner off etc...just can not understand what has happened to it.

The only way to put it back in is to manually feed it in - not really happening in a S-CLASS..

Has anyone had a similar experience - what component could be at fault - how do I get around opening the panelling of the middle pillar to get to the mechanism ?

Does anyone have any drawings of the seatbelt mechanism on a w220 ?

This sounds like exactly the same problem I had with my CLK... The dealer had to remove all the trim and replaced the actual belt tension unit or whatever its called?

It was fixed under warranty whilst I waited as it was a safety issue...
