Guys/gals,

Had a gem of a car and now she's gone, what do i do now, i'm distraught...

Only managed 3 posts in the time i had her, real disappointing.

Bloody Hell. Nothing I can say will make much difference. Just hope they catch the toe rags who stole it.

Phone the Police.?

How did they steal it?

Done and done, police, insurance, neighbours... wife, getting a right earful from her. Had the police over and they said a car matching the description of mine was found on fire at the side of the road not too far from our Carlisle literrally a few hours ago. I dont understand how and why, no evidence of glass broken one and only key on me, no sightings from the neighbours. Cant get any more low than i am now, think I'm going to call it a night and wait for the criminal reference number tomorrow.

Take care of your motors people.

You only had the one key ?

Maybe a clue there.. seen cars bought from reputable dealers with one key only for the car to vanish pronto..

Damn that would explain the non forced entry, how could i miss that, i didnt think something like that would happen to me. Seems a real shame though all that trouble and at the end of it they just ditch and torch her, just cant get it around my head why.

Wow that sux man :( I hope everything gets sorted out soon for you from the insurance company.

Car not what they were expecting? Get shot, destroy forensics. Does seem odd though.

Setting on fire does not destroy forensics to the extent that most criminals think . DNA , fingerprints , and other evidence can normally still be recovered from most burnt out vehicles , and our guys are now trained to extinguish without destroying the various 'evidence farms' in and around the vehicles .

Unfortunately , it is not economic to do full forensic examinations on every burnt out car - only those involved in serious crime , designated 'Code Red' in our area .

Unusual to then torch it though.

Wonder if someone with a similar car needed a single , expensive part .

You hadn't just fuelled it up ? With the price of fuel now , some large vehicles are followed from the filling station then stolen to siphon the tank !

Is it likely that someone who had the other key just happened across the car?

If not, how did they know its new address? If it was all planned, why torch it?....perhaps it was used on a job after it was taken?

All very dodgy, hope you were insured.

Also hope newer models aren't on the hit list now they are running out of W123/4's to take.

Remember we don't this to be true. Just a potenetial lead.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck-hope you either get the car back undamaged or the insurers pay out & you find a simular car asap.

Gutted for you :(
