W220 Suspension conversion ?

Anybody come across a suspension conversion to convert W140 /220 Air susp. to 'normal' susp.
 
I saw a kit advertised to do this for the W220. I think the cost was around 2000 sterling, the ad might have been for Euro carparts.
 
Why would you want to?

What is the problem?
