I need to replace all four tyres on my 2003, W220, 350 with 18 inch rims, in the next couple of months

Does anyone know of a tyre that is more comfort than handling. The ride always just a little harsh (all relative obviously) even with only 18" rims on it. I'm sure that my old 124 went over pot holes better than the 220, although everything else is great.

At the moment Michelins fitted apart from one Bridgestone on the rear.

Thanks in advance.

Michelins always seem to have the more flexible sidewalls which i would assume will give more comfort.

I have Dunlop SP 9000's on mine and they are fine! 245 45 18 on the front and 265 40 18 on the rear.
Next change I will try Falcon or Avon.

Yes i had those on my old 220, they where great.

Sounds good I'll give the Dunlops a try. For the larger rear tyres I think that I was quoted £200 for the Michelin. £179 for the Bridgestones, which apparently is a special mercedes fit tyre. I'll get a price on the Dunlops.

Thanks for the quick response.

I don't know how far you are from Woking, i have used Martins tyres for a number of years and have found him the most competive.

01276 856846 and ask for Paul.

Thanks, will do.

Always liked continentals for a comfy ride. Whatever you do stay away from bridgestone. Even when I ran 16's, bridgestones where extremely harsh.
