W221 AC Fault

The A/C in my W221 has just decided to stop working on me.

It was running run blowing cold air all last week and then on Friday I went to turn it on and on the COMAND screen it shows as on for about 2 seconds and then shows as off again...

Anyone had or heard of this issue before?

Usually means low on refrigerant , which could also mean a leak in the system . Needs to be checked on star .
