Hi All

I have a 2011 W221 BlueTec with the Bang and Olufsen upgrade with rear entertainment. I have no sound at all from any AV or Nav and I've noticed that there is no illumination on my door tweeters.

I've read somewhere that because of the position of the amp, it gets coked up and dies, which could be the cause here, however, is it also possible to be a fuse? I've checked the fuse diagram but can't see one listed.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any fixes or suggestions?

Thx in advance

That’s funny. I have the same car, and have almost the same issue. My stereo works, but only sound in the front, no bass, no tweeters/lights. Fault code D72F, ”sound amp and digital sound processor can’t communicate or are incompatible”.
I will try to get to the amp and the processor (I guess both are in the rear compartment behind the cloth/lining.
I would think it is nothing more then a cold solder or an IC or whatever that needs re- sondering -placing.
Will start searching for companies that know how to fix electronics and have a chat with them.

HI, not 100% sure if we have the same unit. I had no issue with my unit until attending MB main Dealer for a major service which included a battery replacement. When I informed them of the fault on collection they requested I pay £180 for a diagnostic test. As I refused to pay I was left with finding a suitable repair. The radio/CD/Navigation sound would be OK until I stopped the engine. Then it was a 50/50 chance of the unit working. If the engine is running, if I turn off the unit prior to stopping the engine, it will work after the car is restarted. MB Engineer informed me that the MB garage has not reset the unit after fitting the battery. He also noted that on the CD unit, the lefthand furthest button, hold this for 10-20 seconds the command unit will reboot, and sound returns.

I have the w221 with comand. Which cd button are you referring to?

I HAVE THE W221, S350, 2012.
The button is on the 6 disc changer.
The 1st button from the left, before you get to the individual disc buttons.
Press and hold for 10 to 20 seconds the command will switch off and restart, this can be done if you are driving although best done by a passenger if moving. It will not change any navigation or. Current playback aftrt it restarts simply allow sound to return

I will try this tomorrow, although I don’t even know if I have the cd-changer. Never really thought about it.
