After having no luck with my Windows Phone (car tells me it's "Authorised but unavailable"), I borrowed my boss's HTC One to test it out using the following steps:
1. Turn on bluetooth on the phone and make visible
2. Go to "Telephone" menu on car
- At this point, the car told me there were no phones inserted, and gave me the "Connections" option at the bottom
3. Select Connections > Bluetooth
4. Scan for devices
5. Select Android phone and choose "0000" as pairing key
6. Confirm key on phone
7. Wait 5 minutes for the damn phone to pair (no idea why it took so long...)
8. Check status. It said "Authorised and Available"
So I backed out of the bluetooth menu and the telephone section STILL told me "No telephones inserted".
So, I'm curious. Does the bluetooth actually work with ANYTHING? Or do I need to fork over more money for some bit of kit?
Edit: car is a W221 S320, '09
