W221 Comand completely dead

Hi everyone, urgently seeking some help here - the Comand on my 2007 S class has completely died - no picture, no sound, the screen doesn't move or anything and in the dash I just get "----" for all Comand related menus...

Am I being optimistic in thinking this could be a fuse, and if so, where would it be?

Well by no means a expert but in the engine compartment at the back drivers side is a fuse box you could check fuse 25 that might be blown or just need a clean,but I am sure the electronic guys will post soon.

Well it will not be a big fuse either a 5 amp or 7.5 amp,I have seen a post that says it is a 5 amp number 51 in the fuse box I said,there are I think some fuses behind the command,but that would mean taking the unit out,there is a very good how to video on utube for that ,not sure where the all the electronic guys are.

Fuse 51 was fine, but that is for the screen. On further investigation, everything comand related has died. I can't even lower the headrests or change the gearbox settings.

That is bad news ,well have a look at either end of the dash there are two panels that pry off there are more fuses there the fuses are supposed to be 28 and 26 try those,it cannot do any harm,the only other thing is disconnection of the battery but leave that as a last resort,you either need somebody on here that is a wizard at command or call you local specialist garage.

This is a W221, the COMAND fuse is a the rear SAM, fuse #122, 7,5A. You can access the rear SAM fuses via the flap behind the rear seat armrest.

Thanks Diesel Benz. It was indeed fuse 122. Got it all fixed and working again for the grand total of £1.50 for a new fuse. Phew...

Hi everyone, just noticed that the comand on my s550 w221 has completely died - no picture, no sound, no nav, black screen. This happened after two days non stop raining with flood water inside the front driver carpet. I checked most of the fuses related to the comand and display (73, 99, 119, 122, 131) but all are working fine. Any idea about other solutions? Thank you.
