I had my car valeted yesterday at work and when I left the office I noticed that the trim on the cover for the cup holders was loose. I jiggled it a little but it wouldn't go on properly and because of the way it was sitting, the cover wouldn't lock down properly. It looks like there should be a clip at the top of the part that's now broken off:

And this is what happens when I tried to close it:

I'm sure that if I went to Mercedes they'd probably end up trying to sell me a whole brand new cupholder, and given that the insert was expensive enough last time I'd rather not. I've looked through a couple of parts sites for MB, but can't see this specific bit. Can anyone help me out in finding a new one?

I THINK it's this, with the part numbered "230" in the diagram Mercedes-Benz Car Maj. assy FG?Chassis 221122 S 320 CDI / S 350 CDI PANELLING HOUSING WITH TRAY for 17vin.com (if it loads. It took a load of attempts for me). I put my VIN in and it says it fits and the correct colour option is there (buckskin), but I can't see how to order the bit?

Cant you just attach the cover with some strong bonding agent?

Got to say, love the GIF - what did you use to convert video to GIF?

I could, I guess? I'm not exactly "handy", I don't know what bonding agent I'm looking for. I've been in touch with the valeting company and waiting for them to get back to me, I'm informed they're normally pretty good about righting wrongs...

Regarding video to gif, I used imgur.com's feature for that: Imgur: Video to GIF - I uploaded the video to facebook privately and then just pasted the link to the .mp4 file into it, and it does the dirty work.

Edit: spoken to the valet company and they're going to search their hoover for the clip as they haven't emptied it since yesterday, and if no luck they'll use some glue on it.
