so i have the following warnings come up on dash
run flat warning not working
abs not working
esp not working
Any clues

Most likely cause is a failing battery. If your car still has the original MB (Varta) battery then I would start with replacing that.

Otherwise, if the battery is relatively new, then get the battery checked by an auto electrician, or try trickle-charging it overnight before condemning it. And check if it's still covered by manufacturer's warranty.

Other possibilities are a failed ABS ring on one of the wheel hubs - which should also flag-up an error code when checked with STAR.

Thanks for that I shall put it on trickle charge tonight and see how it is in the morning

You may need to turn yor steering from lock to lock a number of times to clear he ESP fault assuming it was just caused by a discharged battery.

The 221 should remember steering wheel angle calibration even if battery had been disconnected. Does not harm though to steer lock-to-lock.

But doesn't this sound more like a wheel speed sensor issue? A simple diagnosis would help.
