Hi need some advice Driving along m/way tonight both sides of the cars rear suspension on my 2010 S500 suddenly went completely down. Then about 30 secs later a yellow malfunction warning came on dash. Any ideas what to look for before I book it into my local MB specialist
Thanks
Neil

Valve control block or pump

hi Riva811 thanks for quick response
if it was the pump would it also effect the front suspension
Depends which part of the car collapses to improve handling and then fails to inflate again so its a bit of a hit and miss. But overall if it was the pump it would of affected the entire car, if it's the valve control block then obviously only the rear or front or specific wheel.
I wouldn't waste my time and money on theory though, get it diagnosed using star diagnosis.
P.S. Since i own a W220 airmatic which in the end I converted to spring coil I can only say I feel sorry for you. Thankfully the CL500 is hydraulic and I hope the pump doesnt die...

well thats it sorted it was ''just'' the link from valve control block to rear suspension that had seized and snapped
