Serivce is due on my s320, 2007 w221.

Which oil should i be going for and how much would i need?

Thanks.

What is recommended in the manual? It will say the quantity too.

It will almost certainly be MB Spec Sheet 229.51 (low-ash engine oil for DPF-equipped cars). If you know your engine type (e.g. OM651 etc) this will help.

Yes I agree with the advice, I have the same car and replace every year regardless of mileage. So buy 10ltr, a good filter and removing tool (adjustable strap clamp)off the internet. I also invested in a vacuum pump for £50 and it takes 45mins and it also allows you to measure the amount of old warm oil removed but do not forget to vacuum out the old oil at the base of the hole where the oil filter fits. It saves me a £100 every year and its fun. Our year car is quite old so do the easy jobs yourself and save the money up for any big jobs. By the way the filter is at the front right hand side and do not forget to pre-oil the new rubber seals before refitting with a strong hand tight.
