I understand where your Coming from but these days the i think range rover can be seen as a competitor for luxury sedans I.e S class and 7 series, but that's just my opinion.

I think this is definitely the case for a % of the market for these vehicles where image and status define what the customer is after as much as specific vehicle features. RR has smilar status in the company car park to an S for some people.
