w231 Stance...

Hi all, I'm not sure how this one will be received as I'm new to the forum and the question on stance can be an emotive subject (Keep it factory fresh / It's your car do what you like) I'm looking at options to create a more aggressive stance on an SL63 (w231) initially looking at wheel spacers to fill the arches, possibly lowering. The car is running 20" rims with ABC, anyone have experience, is it possible, known problems, photos

Hi and welcome. Just an FYI. Your cars model number is R231 (R = Roadster) and not W231. Lovely car! I think it looks great as is, but it's your car so you should do whatever makes you enjoy it more.

I put 10mm spacers on the front, 20mm on the rear with the AMG 10 spoke 19/20” rims - haven’t lowered it but am really happy with the change in stance, but I think that is the limit

Thanks for the feedback, the car is due for delivery on Tuesday (I'll post some photos), do you have any before & after pictures with the spacers

I am nor sure what I have in the before category, but a few attached in the after group (with a very dirty car following the drive to and from PCS who fitted them alongside some other work)

Looks good, now to find some hub centric spacers & extended wheel bolts
