So, I have a 2012 W246 that I bought a couple months back.
I've always suspected there might be a problem with the blower controls not working correctly.
The blower dial doesn't seem to respond, whilst the temperature dial does. Turning the blower dial doesn't seem to affect the power of the blowing at all and making adjustments doesn't prompt the indicator to show up on the LCD screen.
When adjusting the temperature, the indicator shows up on the LCD display.
Pressing the MAX button, does put the system into full power (full heat and full speed blowing). So at least I know the fan does work.
Is there a quick fix to the blower dial? or is it broken?
Any advise would be great - the warranty of the car expires in 3 weeks time, so if it's covered, I should be able to get it looked at.
