Hi All
I have a 2007 Mercedes R320. Last March I had to replace the leak off which the part was about £130.
An O ring has failed, and Sinclair in Swansea say its covered by 2 year warranty. However they say I must drive the car pissing with diesel to them and they will inspect it first.
I tried to explain this wasn't a sensible solution, they refused to accept a video, word of my local garage or to take the part back not attached to my car. Whilst the part is expensive for what it is, a new one is cheaper than hiring a flatbed trailer and cost of a Mercedes inspection. They said the inspection is free if they don't find any other issues...... yeah I'm not falling. for that!!
They are refusing to sell me the o-ring separately. We have tried an o-ring that looked a good match but didn't work.
Does anyone have any advice or donI just replace the entire leak off for the sake of an oring?
