W906 srs light

Hi ive got a 2007 311 sprinter, im struggling to sort the srs light, it seems that the previous owner changed the eis, steering lock and engine ecu from another van but the srs is original and as the vin is different the light is staying on and cant be cleared till its matching.i have an upcoming mot which it wont pass until the light is off. Wondered if anybody had any suggestions to either code the srs or disable the light to get through mot.

You will probably need to get the ECUs coded to match the VIN number in your van. The previous owner should have recoded the replacement ECUs (as it is easier to 'clone' the ECU settings while one has access to the original ECUs). Without the original ECUs, you will probably have to get the ECUs 'erased' to "virginise" them before getting them coded online. To my knowledge, MB will not recode a used ECU, hence the need to "virginise" the ECUs. Otherwise, trying to determine and set the object id offline would be tricky (hence the requirement to having access to the original ECUs).
