Wandering satnav

Hi all, looks like I have the often reported issue of the nav failure, it currently thinks I'm in the channel just off the coast of Penzance! I'm just awaiting auth from the garage to get someone local to do it rather than going back to them. just before I press the button, I've found a new GPS online for a good price, are they all pretty interchangable?

Is there a menu I can get into to see how many satellites it's connecting to (or not in this case) to check once installed? Is there another check i can do to see if it's something else before I buy? This is the one I've found.

As a job, is it fairly easy? I always worry about taking off door panels. If anyone near me has done one, there's a beer in it for you Thanks all.

Command bud, large screen.

I use Waze through AA, but it annoys me that this has failed, so I want it fixed even if I don't use it much

That's what I'm hoping, I have one on order, anyone near me changed one before? I hate the idea of pulling the door card off unless I have someone next to me who's done it! Beer tokens available
