Does anyone have any 17's or 18's that would suit an R129 SL ?

Wierd offset means they are slightly thinner on the ground than normal

Cheers

The tyre and wheel place I've used for years in Colnbrook near Slough have all sorts of alloys for quality cars, he also has second user rims as well...

Give him a call and tell him I sent you ( Greg Wheeler )

Paul @ Montys (Boss) 01753 440006

Lat time I was there he had some 18" AMG's and can get most brands etc ...

Looking to get the new rims relaquered

That was a reasonable price that you got them for (not bad at all), and they suit the SL very well...

Hope you like them

Ricky,

Hoping you know -

Are those the same as the EVO's on my W210? I never heard them called Mille Miglia

They are slightly different...

MB never make there own wheels...although they are genuine merc wheels they are made by mille miglia, if you take your wheels off and look at the back of them you will see a part number, there will also be the name of the company who made them, mille miglia make a lot of merc wheels...

Other companies like duschalet and carllson sometimes use the same companies as mercedes to make wheels for them.

I know Brabus make there own wheels,m but very few tuning companies do.

Hers a couple of small pics of an original special edition "Mille Miglia 500SL" - they only made 500 of them and and they all seemed to be silver in colour with 2 tone trim too ! - even if my trim is the wrong colour scheme its in the spirit

I think they also did one designed to celebrate the 20th birthday of the 129 model...

They did it in blue...

This is the pic i have of it :

Just worked out what it was for, to celebrate 50 years of the Mercedes SL model.

Mark, they are going to look great on your car. Here they are (similar 8.25 x 17") on my wife's car -
