Wanted Fuel filler cap - W211 E320 CDI

I want a new one for mine as the retaining cable is about ready to snap in half, the part number on mine (280 CDI) reads A220 470 07 05 if I've read it correctly.

My wife called into the local independent Merc garage and he took a cap from an old Merc (she wasn't sure what).

It fits - if a little tightly-and I've just been out to look at the number and its as Gareth says

A220 470 07 05

Yep, think I'm going to just order one from a dealership as looking on eBay they aren't the same item.

That is the same part number as the one fitted to my E55
