Wanted Merc 420/500/560 Se/sel W126!!!

Hi,

If anyone knows of any decent w126 S classes for sale i would be grateful.
I'm after a V8, not really bothered if its a SWB or LWB but must have leather/air con/and low mileage. Must be in very good condition and mechanically A1 condition.

Any help will be appreciated as i've been looking for ages and can't find one!

There is what looks to be an absolute peach of a 560 for sale not far from me in Richmond, I dont think I've seen better examples.

Its really hard finding a genuinely clean W126 with sensible mileage!

I dunno the mileage, all I know is that I pass it on the way to work everyday and many times I've been stuck in traffic looking at it parked up beside me. It 'looks' great but more than that I cant say other than it had a for sale sign in the window this week.

I'll try and take some photo's of it on the way to work in the morning.

Sorry for the delay, too busy wrapped up in my new motor over the weekend!

It's 1989 on a G plate, grey metallic with full beige leather. Alloys, 4-speed switchable auto with cruise, ABS, 154K miles, full history (dealer/independent specialist). Kenwood stereo with CD changer. Bodywork in good condition apart from some of the chrome plating on the bumpers. Only looking for about £750 for it.

A week earlier and we have a beautiful one...
Went very quickly though, they seem to have a good market!

Thinking about it, you dont want a 500SEL that we have converted to a 2.5D?? slightly less power than a 500 V8

Not good news here, the car appears to be sold in that it wasnt there this morning. I'll continue to keep an eye out as it may just be in use but I think its unusual.

There is a W126 in Herefordshire being 'disposed of' by a firm of solicitors. It is a '91 H plate with 73k miles and smoke metallic silver.

Just spoke to them, couldn't think of the car i was asking about and said they have definately not seen any V8. They go they may be able to source me a 300 if i wanted.
Well i need a V8! But we'll see how things go. Still looking!!

I just spotted the car again. I had a quick look at it and although ity has 160k on the clock, cosmetically, this W126 is one of the best i've seen of its age. I recon its well worth a proper look.

Thanks for all your efforts but i justy bought a 1998 S500 instead!
It came in at such a bargain price with only 86k on the clock i was a fool if i let it go! I will post pics tomorrow!
