Hi all,
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I couldn’t see how to post in the wanted section. I’m looking to buy a petrol E350 estate or S350 or even the right spec CLS350. Roughly around 2010-2013 model. There doesn’t seem to be much about atm, so if anyone knows of anything that might be for sale soon, I would be interested. Thanks.

Have a look at this website if you have looked at other well known sites.

Very useful to search for cars by price range/location etc. It lists cars advertised elsewhere on Autotrader, Mercedes main dealers , independant dealers and private sales.

It's not just an "at the moment" thing.

Diesel outsold petrol by more than 10 to 1 in the luxury sector back at this time. Most luxury cars were sold as company cars and UK taxation gave a huge "Benefit in Kind" bias to diesel. As a result, petrol vehicles were only sold to the much smaller "private buyer" market.

Then, on top, London's £12.50 a day ULEZ congestion charge has made diesel unpopular for anyone visiting London regularly, which has meant that fhe secondhand market grabs petrol vehicles in preference to older diesels.

So you will need to hunt for petrol engined vehicles. They are there, but there are fewer and sell more quickly

As regards estates, they aren't as popular when new, although the used market is keen on the flexibility of them, so again, the E Class estate has always been harder to track down.

thanks MikeInW. Yes I knew about some of those factors. I’ll just have to keep looking. I just saw that E500 for sale in your profile pic. Very nice. I’ve seen things come up in the past. I just haven’t been in a position to buy, so I know they’re out there somewhere.
