Wanted: tailgate trim plastic trim 124 estate.

I need the tailgate trim strip (107 in the pic) and fixings for a 124 estate please.

I have the trim but the rightmost clips are missing As are all the fixings. Tempted to get my paint guy to bond it on. Not tried MB yet just wondered if anybody was breaking one?

Go to MB and get new one, they are as cheap as chips. The fixings and clips get fragile with age. Do not bond anything!

The part numbers are in the thread I reference.

The Garage took delivery of the part numbers listed above (98 & 104) these being the rear tailgate trim and retaining studs.

Unfortunately these are not the correct parts. At a glance the trim looks the same (except it is white plastic & not grey) the rear/inner mouldings are completely different from the original. This is confirmed by the new studs which are very small plastic studs. The originals are much larger in diameter and are also (I believe, but maybe wrong) made of metal.

Can anybody help please? I may try and repair the existing trim as it is only one retaining "tang" that has snapped off on the drivers side. If I had all the studs then it may well be an easy job to repair it. Without the studs I cannot figure out how well it will be held in place?

104 Lock, moulding type handle to rear panel door, A 140 994 02 45 quantity 6

There are 6 different greys in the colour codes for the handle:

7700 Alto Grey used with outside paintwork 040, 122, 199
7738 Sato Grey - 147
7176 Mussel Grey - 172, 651, 702
7166 Violett Grey - 481
7209 Onyx Grey - 721
7177 Stratus Grey - 735, 751
7181 Stratus Grey - 744, 752

Your data card lists colour 261 which is listed against colour code 6211 Kiwi Green - 249C, 254, 261, 815.
