We have just bought a Merc C 220 Estate 2012 with 89000 miles anyone recommend a good warranty to cover all parts and labour? And what should I be looking to pay
I had a good experience of Warranty Direct on my CLS55. Merc dealerships can deal direct with WD, no paperwork to fill in in the event of a claim.
My cover was for main dealer repairs (if I wanted, could use any garage but WD would cover dealer costs) and on wear related items (but not service items e.g. brakes pads etc)
The first premium they quoted was astronomical and I rejected the next two offered. Finally came to £1200 for two years cover, dependant on an engineers inspection of the car.

And on reflection that's what I should have done but hindsight is a wonderful thing...
Like all insurances and warranties it's a "peace of mind" thing?

I think your car still qualifies for an extended MB warranty see the URL below. We paid £850 on our C300h for a two-year extended warranty with MB (but we took this out before the manufacturer's warranty expired).
Tier 1 cover provides our highest level of Mercedes-Benz Extended Warranty protection and covers the majority of mechanical and electrical components in your vehicle.
I’d always opt for the manufacture supported extended warranty even though it’s more expensive than the host of alternative companies out there. They just seem to be more reliable, less problematic to deal with and hassle free when it comes to authorisation of claims. Just my experience.
