Hi can anyone recommend a budget pressure washer to use in conjunction with a water butt?

I have a 240l Waterbutt and want to make good use.

Will the water leave marks on my car or is rainwater better than the tap water (note we get hard water here)

Also any recommendation for snow foam liquids?

You'll need a good prefilter to stop particulates blocking the nozzle.

Rain water is very much softer than hard tap water, it's probably on the acidic side of the scale. It might still leave water marks.

For completely mark free water you'd use an RO unit to produce 0 TDS (pure) water to fill your buttress.

If you just want to make use of the water from the sky, then just make sure your butt has a prefilter or at the very least takes water from a few inches above the bottom so it can act as a settling chamber.

As for cheap pressure washer, EuroCarParts has a Top Tech one for £39.99 although it's not very powerful, but ideal for the car.

Excellent thanks for the useful information. I will check online now for the pressure washer. Cheers for the heads up on prefilter, didn't know about this. Do I connect to my hose or washer? And where can I get one? Thanks
