Some advice please. My 14 month old E300 has water ingress via a manufacturing fault in the bulkhead. Water collected on the rear part of the floor pan and more significantly has got into the wiring loom killing the car stone dead. Its in for repair, the fifth week, and Mercedes UK say the loom is repairable, which I don't doubt. The right parts for repair have finally been identified and are now on order from Germany. My question; I thought a wiring loom was pretty fundamental in the car assembly, so is it a) feasible to repair for a long term fix b) possible to restore the innards of the car to a pristine condition?
Many thanks

They will be able to repair the loom no problem.

They will most likely dry the interior out, it's whether they seal the area where the leak was properly to prevent it happening again.

Maybe ask them to renew the carpet as it's under warranty only 14 months old.

Good luck with the repairs. Please report back.
