Water Leak-320 E-Series Coupe

With last night's downpour, I've got water appearing in the boot of my 320CE.

It's dripping from a point on the underneath f the parcel shelf, just below the speaker.

I've noticed the rubber seal at the top corners of the rear windscreen has a small gap in it..............have I found the source of the leak, or would that be too easy?

Anyone had this problem and fixed it?

Had a similiar thing with a Discovery once, there was a small gap in the joint of the seal so I filled it with black bathroom silicone. It has to be worth a try to see if it eliminates the problem.

The seal gap at the top is quite common. It *shouldnt* cause the problem as the glass is held in place by mastic sealant all round. Unless the sealant is not uniformly spread around the glass, I doubt this to be the problem.

I suggest that you have a look at your boot seal make sure all the run offs are clear and water can run off easily.

The same should be said for the sunroof run offs as the water could be entering this way.
