Water leak W164

Does anyone know how to take the top break light out on a Ml W164? Mine is leaking water and it doesn't look very easy to take out. Can it be taken out from the outside?

No. You need to remove the inner trim. Its a bit of fiddling with a torx driver to get to the inner fixings to release it. Once out and reassembled it just pushes back into place if my memory is up to speed. It seals with a crummy foam gasket that rots. Cleaning it all up and refitting with a bead of clear silicone is what I usually do.
