Hi guys. In Harefield for the next 3 weeks. My C63s needs it’s first service. Whats Mercedes Watford like?

Are you on a service plan? If not, what about Wayne Gates who are very nearby. I believe it shouldn’t affect your warranty but you should check. :)

Yes mate service plan. So all covered. Well I hope. Missis just had a double lung transplant so I’m here for at least 3 weeks. I live in Weymouth where if there’s 5 cars in front of you That’s a traffic jam! Up here is bloody savage!!

They are so, so. One of the service technicians left tools under the bonnet of my car last time I was there earlier this year! Yes they do the jobs, but are they mechanics no not really. More fitters than problem solvers. Big dealership, big costs and loads of cars outside but certainly not specialists. I am seven miles from Watford but for most things take my car elsewhere. Watford is traffic chaos sadly. The one way system is terrible and the ring road is a disaster. Not a fan of the hospital either, parking is a disaster as is the layout of wards. Staff are lovely but under huge pressure.

Oh god! Thankfully only small service. Car has been a dream. Don’t know whet else to do?

Try Hughes Beaconsfield, they're only 20min from Watford on M25 & M40. Not sure on their recent service quality but they always used to be top notch.

I can't recommend anywhere near where you are now but best wishes and a speedy recovery for your other half.

I second this. They are also very helpful!

Best wishes for quick return to Weymouth for both of you!

Brooklands 34 miles. I have used them since they opened for all my cars :) + a Speedy Recovery :)

Beaconsfield are my local, and trust me I don’t even go there. Too many bad experiences with them with previous cars. Now I am an AMG owner, I do the small trek to Brooklands, a much better place and service is exceptional!

The fact Mr AMG himself (rokenr on Instagram) has fallen out with them as his local supplier and service provider speaks volumes. A brand ambassador for Mercedes-AMG, must know a bit about these cars and the level of service to expect!

Brooklands are my local and I get all my servicing down there and warranty work. I agree they are the best.

However, Beaconfields have been good to me in the past. I do not care about Roken's issues with them or not. That his concern.

But it speaks volume if you had issues with them too.

Thanks guys. Not much time to do it really. When she comes out of Intensive care I might have more time. So no ones knows much about Watford Mercedes?

If it was me and my Mrs was unwell I would just take it to the most convenient place, the first service will just be an oil change and a few box ticks.
Health first!

Agreed.

Given the choice I would go to Hughes at Beaconsfield because they're nearer to Harefield and a nicer drive. I never had any problems there, although it's been a while since I lived in the area and used them. I've heard some negative comments about Watford, but have never used them.

Best wishes for your wife. My experience with Harefield hospital was first rate; brilliant and professional staff at all levels. She'll be very well looked after there.

^ This (both bits).

Watford managed to do the camchain tensioner mod and also changed the MCT clutch on my pre-facelift E63 Biturbo without breaking anything, so I would imagine they can successfully change the engine oil and filter

Thought I would update. Well was in Harefield for 8 weeks! A lot of complications but all good now TG. Got out Saturday just gone. Never drove car for 7 weeks and went into Uxbridge for food and got hit by a bus who never stopped and damaged my front drivers side wheel! Never got number plate or route number so no one could help! Anyway, called a garage in Ruislip with a hunter wheel alignment to check tracking! He couldn’t do it and said something was bent but didn’t know what to do! So called Brooklands and told them my story on a Tuesday and they told me to bring it in first thing on the Wednesday (amazing) and they would service it and check it out. Cut a long story short they did the tracking and couldn’t find anything wrong only the wheel of course! All I can say is Brooklands went above and beyond anything I can say about them. I will always hold them close to my heart. There is great people out there. The chap who dealt with me was Steve and I will be calling back to give him something for his kindness. We are home all safe and sound. Sorry for the long story but Brooklands are amazing that’s all I can say.

Shame about the car, but glad to hear you are on the mend after your Harefield visit.
I know an anaesthetist who works there, and they are a great hospital.
