Started waxing the car yesterday , finished it today ( was too hot and sunny yesterday to polish and wax the bonnet and roof ) ....

Didn't go silly on it ..... A good wash with Zymol Cleanse , leather off , good going over with Zymol Cleaner Wax ( smells good ) , then a top coat of Harly Wax ...

I do this three or four times a year and keeps the car looking good. I know we could start getting really an@l about 'detailing' but i've got better things to do with my time. I guess you could say i get knee deep in the detailing world , rather than submerged.

I've had to darken the pictures as they were all horribly overexposed due to the funny light today , but thats all i've done to them , the shine is just as it is shown .

I'm very pleased with it.

Great job there Howard, my two most expensive pleasures in life are MB ownership and detailing, my gf thinks I'm obsessed with both.

Looks really nice Howard, wanna do mine? :p :)

Need to give the Tips a bit more Love Howard....;), otherwise very good.

The tips have scratches on them , because when i got the back box it had concrete on it  that i had to chip off ...

Don't ask ....

Just keep going at them with metal polish, they will clean up.

Well, go on then...:D

They'll polish up eventually? Will probably take ages I know, but if you're really keen...

Maybe some really, really really fine wet/dry, followed by progressively finer polishes?

Will

If you had used some vinegar or brick acid on the concrete it would have disolved without scratching.

Test on an inconspicuous area first, though..

Next time i get an exhaust with some concrete on it , i'll know ;)

Howard, looks fantastic and the 430 looks to be in pristine condition, congrats. The colour is absolutely great. I need to apply some decent top coat wax on mine. Wish I could make it to Ollys GTG in May to see it next to mine.

It's very red isn't it!
Maybe you could use a rasp very (!) lightly on the 'zorst tips:o

mmm, so shiny, needs a lip spoiler surely, to set it off nicely?
