Was thinking about this earlier, I use my steering wheel controls in the AMG and X5 more than the pad/idrive controller or on the AMG the touch screen. So it's less to do with bring lazy, more to do with keeping your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.
Though that controller is rubbish. Wish I could bluetooth connect a newer head unit to a more modern smaller size wheel. Though I do like the thickness of the wheel. M Sport wheels have become too thick.
