Hi, checked search but this one seems different to other problems noted.

Last Tuesday night at 4am the indicators on the car started flashing - no alarm sound. Turned it off with fob.

Today, the alarm started sounding with no indicators....turned it off again OK.

It's a 2003 C32 AMG Estate.

Anyone had this double issue before? Any fix?

cheers

Hi,
Normal faults with these alarms is a faulty alarm siren, the back-up battery goes U/S.
If you get it on STAR (MB diagnostic computer) it should confirm this.
I believe it is in the region of £80 from MB, and is fitted under the N/S wing, behind the front bumper.

Mine has been doing very similar for the last week on a 53 reg W203 coupe

In with a local Indi today for a replacement Siren (as confirmed by STAR) for a little under £80 for the unit, then half an hour to fit.

+1 for alarm siren diagnosis. £70 incl VAT for latest version from MB, I got one about a month ago, and spent an hour fitting it. Tamper proof torx set required.

EDIT: Or unplug it for free :) (obviously the siren will no longer work)
