I've never really noticed this before but driving around today I noticed a weird noise from the headlight switch area. It's like a gas discharge noise. Hard to explain. It might be normal but I've never heard it before. And what puzzled me more was if I accelerate then it disappears. And as soon as I let off you can hear it again

Vacuum leak?

Exhaust leak?

EDIT: Sorry, you mean inside the car?

Pretty sure there is a vacuum hose for headlight height adjustment on the back of the switch, if so probably come off?

As above, likely to be a vacuum leak.

Had the noise from headlamp adjuster (after getting car back from bodyshop and they had worked on the front bumper) and noise would change as I move through 1-3.

Look for what's usually a purple/pink pipe near back of headlight itself and reatach...

Hi,
If the noise is from the dash area specifically near the headlight hieght adjuster dial, then it will be a cracked/broken vacuum pipe on the back of it and as previously stated it will be purple.

This would make sense as I've now noticed I can't adjust the headlights. Weekend job then will be googling how to remove and fix lol. Thanks
