Mercedes C230 Kompressor 192hp 2004
Hello my fellow friends. This is my 1st post here in this community.

Well, here it goes (sorry for my english, im portuguese) :

I recently bought a 2004 mercedes c230 kompressor 192hp with also a GPL system with 128k km. The problem is that sometimes when i use the car i realy feel those 192 hp kicking, but sometimes i dont feel this at all. Its like the car sometimes lost 50+ horse power.

I already changed Oxygen sensor, mass air flow sensor, coils, spark plugs and the "problem" persists. Already tried using for 1 week only the gasoline system, and on another week only the GPL system and the "problem" persists. It seams that the car sometimes is "tired" LOL

Any advices? What might be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a Mercedes specialist you can use to run a diagnostic scan with Star?

Your symptoms could have many causes and diagnosing from a distance is not going to be helpful and especially when complicated by having a major modification of the LPG system.

Now, there's no warning lights. I had sometime ago the engine light up, and i think the problem was the mixture. I'm getting realy tired of going to mechanics, they all say different things.

As said, do you have a Mercedes specialist who has the Star computer?

General diagnostic machines will be very limited in such cases.

Unfortunately i dont know anyone. and since i have a GPL/LPG system i dont think mercedes will even check it up.

A Mercedes specialist would certainly check out the petrol side.

What diagnostics have you had carried out so far?

Has the valve that switches between petrol and LPG been fully checked and shown to be working correctly?

Depending on the LPG system, there's all sorts of possibilities from it requiring a simple service to complete recalibration. At a guess, your petrol fuel trims are possibly being skewed by wrong mixture strength when running on LPG.
Do you have diagnostic/set-up software on a laptop for the LPG system and what type is the system - single point mixer or injection?

Did you check the breather (vacuum) hose when you were checking the mass airflow sensor? If you had an error like p0172 that hose can be the issue. It’s a cheap part but a fairly long job, easy enough though if you’re handy.

is anyone know e-class 2016 amg line auxiliary battery location

It is possible the filter on the LPG system needs changing, why not run the car of petrol only and see if the fault is still there.

The OP said in the first post that they had tried running the car only and the fault was still apparent.

Ignore the above - I missed that it was the same on either fuel/

The last part of the above will answer how much of the engine sensors are used by both fuels and thus could be the cause.
Given the intermittency though, I'd firstly look for a more obvious cause - such as an obstruction in the induction system eg, leaf, crisp packet, etc stuck in the air filter box - before digging into sensors.

It's beside the spare wheel in the boot
