Mercedes CLK
Hi all, I have a Mercedes CLK and while it drives great and the engine sounds good, when on the move I get some weird scraping noise from the front of the car. Left hand side I think. Have spun the wheel and checked the bearing and it seems fine and the disc and pads are clean. I am hoping it is nothing too expensive. When I took it for an Mot in december I asked the garage to look at it. They thought it might be interference (I assume electronic), as they couldn't see anything obvious with it when up on the ramps. Has anyone had this issue and if so do they know a fix?
Have uploaded a youtube vid so people can hear the noise.

I had thi,s I changed the disc and cleaned the brake pads and all was well, as an aside I thought it was the offside, turns out it was the nearside.its also worth checking the metal plate on the back of the hub is not rubbin.g

Cheers for the info, will do the other side and check the back plates. Will let you know if it's successful.

All sorted now. Changed the discs and checked the hub plates. Still had the noise so took it to my friendly garage who put it on the rolling rod while checking for noise in the pit underneath. Turns out a clip holding the handbrake cable had snapped and the cable was rubbing on the propshaft. New clip and all is well. Always pays to have a good local garage.
