I was thinking for quite a long time about fixing my cd changer, or getting an ipod kit, but I finally settled for a DVD player. It fits in through an aftermarket interface and reads DVDs, CDs, has a SD card and USB reader and finally 3.5" input for video and audio.

It arrived suprisingly quick, from Germany. I placed the order on monday and recieved it midday wednesday.

On first inspection everything looked great. But the interface was not just plug n play. I had to change some wires around on the existing connector, which I was a bit unsure about. :dk:

I'm not sure where to fit the actual DVD player-I was hoping to fit it in the glovebox so it was hidden from view, and I could just have the IR sensor sticking out of the dash, but it doesn't fit in the glovebox. Since it comes with brackets, I can fit it at the top of the passenger footwell-it will be hidden and easy to insert CDs etc when required. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pics soon...:thumb:

In my ML the DVD player is located under the passanger seat. very duscreet, safe and still easy to insert discs.

Not sure if this will work for me, the seats on my S class, when all the way down, are almost touching the floor.

Thanks for your reply anyway! :thumb:

I have fitted it, it is pretty much ok. Volume seems a bit low, and when cranked up I can hear hissing. But the major problem is I can hear the revs of the car in the speakers-I'm guessing I haven't earthed it properly. Also I better cover all the wires with tape.

Anything else to stop this buzzing and get the volume up?

And umedc, has your car got comand 2.5? If yes, it will fit-if you have comand 2.0 you will need a different adaptor. I'll post up a review when I have checked it over completely.

I'm sure that the TV is not supposed to show whilst driving, but it does. It does become a bit fuzzy between 5-7mph and whilst slowing down. Anyone know how to overcome this?

bad earth, as you said in your earlier post.

Installed and working now-used a ground loop isolator to fix the hum, but whenever I slow down the audio "fuzzes".
Could this be something to do with the fact that the tv tuner should not be on while over a certain speed? Or something else-all help will be appreciated.

P.S. Just bought a digital TV tuner too-gonna fit it over the weekend!
