Well i sold the 507....

It was a great car, BUT I was a bit terrified how much I was going to take a hit of it and I got a very good offer for it so bye bye C63 507.. : (

Then the fun bit, what to replace it with?

Another Porsche turbo ? nope...
Another M3?..................nope..
Another GTR 35.............nope..
another 997 c2s?........... nope..
a rs5? no
a rs4? no

what to get that was the question....

So today I bought another C63 AMG coupe in black, great spec, 2 years old, full mbmdsh, not a mark on it and at a very good price!!
pick it up at the end of the month so then its off to Acids for a remap and the HRES will be going on and hopefully happy days!! and at more than half the price of the 507 I wont have to be a precious with it or worry about the odd stonechip!!

Nice you are still in the MB fold. I saw on rs246 that someone had bought your car, I recognised the plate. Did you sell it with the HREs as you mention sticking them on the new car?

This C63 was such a good deal ( I got it for £35k ) I just could not resist!
That's my third one now, I looked and looked at what to replace it with but nothing matched up, I was close to a 997 TT and a R8 V10 but your back up at £70 to £90K and I did not want to go down that road ( again )

Now off to Acids for a remap and a set of mich super sports for the hres and I am back in the game!! (well when I get back from the Congo that is )

great blokes, great service, they were £2130 delivered,

they WERE for sale on here until two days ago and I never even got a nibble!! glad I kept them now so sorry not now for sale as they are going on my new 63.

Glad you were happy with them! What do you think of the ride with the 18s btw?

On 18s a little bit better but I would put that down to the profile is larger on the 18s both front and rear, so they have to be a touch softer as the tyre wall is fatter.

19s look so much better and the difference is tiny in ride.

I thought the 18s would have been a lot softer, I think the 507 suspension is so good it makes up for the 19s

Was offered a new 507 a couple of weeks back but certain spec was missing .

Going to order a 507 bonnet & some new HRE's after the AMG TRIP & then Weistec remap with Acid .. Actually that bit maybe b4 the trip

Supercar entry is what seems like a logical upgrade to me, not sure 507 can be beaten by anything other than supercar marque.

That's the great thing about the modern 63 AMGs they really do feel like very very special cars, the n/a cars perhaps most of all. I love the fact that mine is as quick as (in some cases quicker) just about anything my group of car friends have got (including Ferraris, Astons, various Porsches), attracts just as many admiring glances and comments and is much more comfortable !

The only supercars I still actually yearn for are the SLS and the Mclaren MP4.

The SLS is special, I would be inclined to go for a 360M if I had the dough from the C63.
