We've gone 'up' in the world

Me too!...but it was a '84 MG Metro....
I've also had Alpaca coloured belts in a W211, a real pain to keep looking spotless!

Admission time. The seats in my W204 are Alpaca Grey Leather, but I couldn't for the life of me remember what colour the seat belts are - despite having had the car for 13 years. I just had to pop out to have a look! They're black - and still looking spotless.

Same as my Alpaca skinned 212....black seat belts....which I'm glad about. On my 209 CLK it had grey leather with grey belts....which stayed grey for many days at a time......before I had to clean them!!!!! When I first got it the only way I could get them clean was to trap them in the door and let them hang on the outside.......work a strong washing powder mix into them and jet wash it off....came up like new. Just don't get too close with the water jet....or keep the pressure low.

Oh you bad bad man. 😍
Knowing what hoops you need to jump through to gain certification for seat belts, I just wonder about the legality of these....?:dk:
Whilst I'd love to see folks in papaya seat belts looking like some hi-vis tie down straps, I'd be even happier if I knew they really are what it says on the packet: ie safety belts!

You can rest easy my friend. A seat belt mod is not on the cards. 😊

I’ve just found this thread.
Congrats to your and Mrs Ant on the new motor. I’m sure you will enjoy it loads. My wife and I really enjoy hers and it’s only a lowly 2 litre oil burner.
It’s a great all rounder, probably the best all rounder we’ve had.
Health to enjoy.
No spoiler but seriously considering this:

Not expecting many MBClub thumb-up’s but I really liked the Pan-Am grille on our C Class and think it would suit the GLC too.
Go for it Ant, I’m in the Panamericana camp on the right car and I think the GLC suits it well.
I installed one on the wife’s previous GLE and her current GLC already had one installed when we bought it.

Looks OK on the black one; not so sure on the blue. It needs the wider chrome on the vertical bars of the black one.

But then, black wheels look naff to me too... It's all a matter of taste; mine is old-fashioned.

Certainly does not suit the 212!!!..........well not my one at least" In my defence....this is how I bought it Your Honour and was the first thing I changed....back to a stock AMG styled one....its a Sport so that's what it came with.

Put vertical lines on something and they make it look taller and narrower. Put horizontal lines on something and they make it look lower and wider.
Which is why narrowed reg plates look crap and fat people don't wear hoops.

Note to self: get rid of all my hooped tops, including the rugby shirt I'm wearing now!
