Hi All

Now quite a few of us have had varying degrees of mods lately on the Eurocharged dyno days.

I'm just interested in what you guys are thinking of next if anything.

I have said a few times before on the Eurocharged thread that I was perfectly happy with my car and hadn't considered any mods until the Eurocharged opportunity came up. Now since my pulley and remap it seems to be all I bloody think about!!

My car is my daily driver so it needs to run well and keep on doing so. I now have Olly at PCS looking after it which is massively reassuring and they just give me confidence which was total contrast to my main dealer.

So for me after my uprated IC pump to replace my failed one and new BMC filters it will definitely be a larger Heat Exchanger and Renntech lowering module, but after that not sure. Still think my motor doesn't sound meaty enough so would like some exhaust mods. Also now think I must have a larger throttle body, oh then headers, split cooling system...... Think I will need to attend a few meets to meet some more of you guys and just as importantly hear a few of the cars you guys have. Just worried my car never shiny enough:D

Yes Simon, its all very very adictive. ;) Wait till you get on a track or Vmax event, its even moreso then, but great fun all the same, you end up going back for more, and in the world of power and mods, wanting even more:D

Next for me is to move to closer to a fuel station:D, i am addicted to the EC power and sound lol seriously as you know just had johnson IC pump fitted today, dyno booked for the 20th then i am truly done....

Regarding exhaust mods i had secondary de-cat, resonator box removed, and straight pipe, i think its sounds great, subdued around town but lions roar when you blip it:thumb: Alps has secondary de-cat and C63 rear boxes fitted which also sounded nice...so you have a few options...

You are now turning into a 'tuning junkie' which i think Paul savman indicated would happen to some of us....i have had my 'fix' for now on this car...

I think Acid is arranging a full day exclusive to A runway :)

Acid.... Get this sorted :)

Lowering module next......

Styling done, power done( for now) , next is a few maintenance items then prob work more on some better in car sounds.

Paul said to me its addictive, I sort of brushed the comment aside but now......

To be honest I can't go too far with it as as said its my daily driver, but a nice exhaust note would be good I reckon.

As said I would like to hear a few cars. I like the sound of C63's so would be interested in hearing Alps' car especially. Heard it on his short vid and sounded good. I need it to be fairly subtle but a bit mean at same time!! I have spoken to Olly about a few options so will see. I can't turn up at a client meeting with it all a bit 'max power' if you know what I mean.

You are all on a slippery slope :D

In all honesty I would think carefully on what you want to achieve as it will dictate what you want to do next.

All I can add is that think of the basics, there are two things to think of

1. Cooling - split cooling makes a huge difference but for a road car that will not track, 1/4 mile or high speed run then look at a small engine mounted reservoir. In addition to a larger heat exchanger many have used larger power steering reservoirs to great effect or mount a tank where the cabin filter housing sits. If you want to go further then rear tank is the way.

2. Air in and air out, intake will add some but bigger gains will be made from headers and getting rid of the primary cats. If you want to really go for it take both the primary and secondary cats out and fit 200 cell sports cats. This will flow more and take more heat away from the engine. The centre box also adds some back pressure which if removed again adds flow and lowers temps as the supercharger will be more efficient.

For road use though most of these mods are not essential and the "hit" is never the same as the feeling of a pulley / map.

Think about what you want to achieve and more important how much you want to spend. Making a full on monster costs a serious amount of money so think carefully.

After all of the above the choice for me would be simple once you have 1 and 2 done get a Weistec!

Paul - you know my car is not for 1/4 mile stuff and yes budget is a real issue. For me realistically it will just be the key things I mentioned being the HE and lowering module. The exhaust would be next on my list and then probably better cooling, then I think I would leave it at that unless someone has n 82mm or similar throttle body for about 25 quid!

Soon guys im working on the next few mods.
Need a few more days

Acid

Hi guys, basically I am going to do stages, I am working on a few bits my end to help others members, nothing surrounding tuning more improvements, on another matter Acid has sorted me a pulley and once this is fitted, Jerry is doing me another map, then I will see what power I get, then with the help of Acid, will add bits at a time, I have no plans to change my exhaust at the moment unless its proved 100 % to restrict more power, but may look at the cooling, and I will be taking acids advice, as I have spoken to him many times, and has shown real dedication and I intend to give back 100% of any purchases, what I would like to see next is pitching metal vs metal in a 1/4 mile of some description with just board members, as they say when the hammer drops the BS stops :)

Smart move in stages and Acid will see you right :thumb:

Although short notice this Saturday Santa Pod has a "dial in day" you can learn about bracket racing, alternatively for those "down south" 12th May North Weald Airport come on you know you want to :D

North Weald would have been good. I know it well as have family there but I am away on holiday fishing in France - so can't complain.

Had a quick look at the Weald airport, seems they like trying to land planes when drag racing events are on, and get the feeling I would be up against a corsa 1.3L with a non proven 800bhp, so I am going to wait until Acid sorts something.

Hey bud,

There are a few meets coming up.

Check out the events section.

Hi Rashman

I did see there was a Bluewater meet coming up and then Olly's PCS meet, but I can't make either of those unfortunately. Will definitely like to get along to one of the events soon. I hear Jerry from Eurocharged will be coming over again soon so I would be up for attending that again even if my car isn't up for any more molesting!!

So you got your secondary cats removed in the end?!

nope, as its bedded in it sounds much better, taking the CATS off now may tip it over the edge
