A friend of mine had recently purchased a 2018 C220 Premium plus and in the boot space there seems to be some parts relating to breakdown missing. I think it is where the tyrefit gunk and compressor sits and a collapsable crate or something similar in the other section.

Can anyone confirm what should be there (if anything)

If the car has ‘run flat’ tyres fitted then those items where not needed, hence the reason they are not there.

I've got 19" runflats - no inflation kit - no jack - but I have a collapsible box , don't quite know what use the box will be if I get a puncture.

Your not supposed to reinflate a flat runflat tyre (sorry if it's a bit of a mouthful).

And you're definitely not supposed to use any form of tyre sealant on it.

So no point in having either a tyre inflator or tyre sealant in the boot.

It’s to sit on, upended, whilst awaiting the puncture repair/new tyre fitting :):):):):):):)

I've never tried to eat a runflat tyre, bur I suppose it would be...:)

Seriously, though, it's another reason for never buying a car with runflats; the manufacturers save money, but the driver is the one left holding the baby if it all turns to ratsh!t.

It's for collecting your personal belongings from the stranded car while you hitch-hike to your destination.

I run 18"s over the winter , non runflat, so I keep the jack kit & the reinflation kit in the collapsable box.:)
